Your opinion on finding a flat in Istanbul, please!

I’m starting my masters at Bogazici University this September. I found a flat in Besiktas but I don’t really like it much.

Should I risk losing it and start looking for a better place or live there for a year then move out?

Benefits of the flat:

+ I think I can get along well with the girl who currently lives there.

+ It has a central location.

Downsides:

- The flat is badly decorated and furnished.

- It might be better to find a flat closer to the campus.

Any suggestions on what to do? I’ve to decide soon and notify the landlady about my final decision.
